Position Summary:

The Fleet Sustainment & Spares Coordinator serves as the working-level coordination point for aftermarket parts flow supporting the U.S. Army Flight School Next (FSN) program. Operating between the M1 prime representative, the program’s third-party logistics (3PL / 4PL) provider, and the Robinson Helicopter Company (RHC) supply chain, this role ensures efficient spare parts supply and resupply, maintains bench-stock and specified onsite part availability at fleet-appropriate levels, and provides immediate, personalized support to the M1 Team for all Aircraft on Ground (AOG) requirements.

This is a hands-on execution role centered on parts and material flow. It does not own customer relationship management, business development, process-improvement initiatives, or contract execution; those responsibilities reside with the Site Manager. Success in this role is measured by parts availability, order accuracy and speed, and responsiveness to AOG needs that keep the M1 / U.S. Army FSN fleet mission-ready.

Essential Job Functions:
Aftermarket Parts Coordination
  • Coordinate the daily flow of aftermarket parts among the M1 prime representative, the program’s 3PL / 4PL provider, and the RHC supply chain.
  • Serve as the working-level point of contact for spare parts supply and resupply for the FSN fleet.
  • Track part requests from initiation through delivery, keeping all parties informed of status.
  • Reconcile discrepancies in orders, shipments, and receipts across M1, the 3PL / 4PL provider, and RHC.
RHC Bench-Stock & Onsite Inventory Management
  • Monitor RHC bench-stock levels and initiate resupply to maintain fleet-appropriate stocking levels.
  • Maintain specified RHC onsite part availability to support uninterrupted flight training operations.
  • Conduct routine inventory checks and reconcile onsite stock against established levels.
  • Identify and flag consumption trends or shortfalls that could affect fleet readiness.
Aircraft on Ground (AOG) Support
  • Provide immediate, personalized assistance to the M1 Team for all AOG parts requirements.
  • Expedite AOG orders through the program’s 3PL / 4PL provider and the RHC supply chain and associated online ordering systems to minimize aircraft downtime.
  • Coordinate emergency sourcing, shipping, and delivery for critical AOG needs.
  • Communicate AOG status updates to the M1 Team and RHC Site Manager through resolution.
Order Processing & Systems
  • Enter, review, and track parts orders in RHC ERP and order management systems (e.g., Epicor).
  • Maintain accurate part numbers, quantities, and delivery data in RHC systems.
  • Coordinate lead times and delivery schedules with RHC operations and the program’s 3PL / 4PL provider.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions, shipments, and inventory actions.
Coordination & Reporting
  • Work closely with RHC supply chain, logistics, and technical support teams on parts availability.
  • Escalate supply issues that risk fleet readiness to the RHC Site Manager.
  • Track and report on parts fill rates, backlog, and AOG response metrics.
  • Provide the Site Manager with parts-related data to support customer and program reviews.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma / GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus. Minimum 4+ years of experience in parts coordination, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or order entry.
  • Experience with aftermarket or aviation parts, 3PL / 4PL coordination, or aircraft spares preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP or order management systems (e.g. Epicor) and inventory tracking tools.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Federal Government, or Aerospace customers preferred.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to respond urgently to AOG and other time-critical parts requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with speed and accuracy.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office software application suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must be able to work onsite at Fort Rucker. Work hours are assigned by business needs Monday through Friday; occasional weekend work may be required based on AOG and operational demand.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
