Job summary

Tucson Electric Power is seeking a Fleet Specifications Specialist to develop, manage, and maintain technical specifications for fleet vehicles and equipment across electric and gas operations. You will ensure assets meet regulatory, safety, and operational requirements while supporting modernization and electrification initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a shop environment.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements (DOT, OSHA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage technical specifications for all fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain centralized specification documentation in Laserfiche records systems.
• Ensure specifications comply with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements (e.g., DOT, OSHA).
• Collaborate with internal teams to design optimized vehicle configurations and support standardization.
• Coordinate fleet purchasing activities and verify delivered vehicles meet specifications.
• Coordinate check-in, inspection, and upfit installation with fleet and maintenance staff.
• Support deployment readiness and training for operators and fleet staff.
• Participate in industry forums to stay current on fleet technologies, including electrification.
