Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Fleet Acquisitions consultant to lead annual replacements and acquisitions, developing vehicle/equipment specifications and guiding vendor selections. You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle from ordering to upfitting, and support fleet reporting and coordination with multiple partners.

Hybrid work with strong emphasis on collaboration, negotiation, and adherence to budgets. Relevant experience with Maximo and regulatory guidelines is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and maintaining vehicle/equipment specifications.
• Proven ability to manage vendor and manufacturer relationships.
• Familiarity with fleet management systems and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee annual fleet replacements/acquisitions to meet customer needs within budget.
• Develop vehicle/equipment specifications and assist in vendor selection.
• Act as project manager through ordering, manufacturing, delivery and upfitting.
• Create fleet inventory reports and manage system data in the Fleet Management software.
• Communicate campaigns, recalls and diagnostics to Fleet Services.
• Support dealer, manufacturer, and supplier relationships for parts and procurement.
