Job summary

Pyka is seeking an experienced software engineer to own the path our software takes from development to fleet. You will work across the full aircraft software stack including autonomy, controls, avionics interfaces, and ground systems, driving the release cadence and testing infrastructure.

You will reproduce flight-logs issues, diagnose roots, and build tests or automate releases. Collaboration with field teams is essential to improve safety and reliability of autonomous electric aircraft.

Qualifications

• Experience writing production-grade C++17 and Python for embedded/robotics.
• Track record debugging complex, poorly documented systems across the stack.
• Experience with testing infrastructure, CI/CD, and release engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own the release process end-to-end for multiple aircraft software subsystems.
• Triage and root-cause bugs from flight ops and field tests.
• Design and build testing and release tooling to shorten cycles.
• Collaborate across autonomy, controls, and ground systems.
• Write production code and support during flight tests.
