Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking an entry-level shop technician to assist with maintenance of tractors, trailers, and equipment. Under supervision, you will help with inspections, repairs, and documentation to support a safe fleet.

Responsibilities include record-keeping, safety inspections, and light duty tasks while using power tools and lifting equipment. Daily work involves teamwork, adherence to policy, and a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills.
• Able to lift components weighing up to 110 pounds with assistance.
• Able to operate power and hand tools.
• Willing to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs of fleet.
• Support shop operations including setup, cleaning, and equipment upkeep.
• Prepare electronic and manual records and reports.
• Assist with safety inspections and document work.
• Move parts to and from the job site and install/remove parts as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Operate power/hand tools as directed by supervision.
