Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a maintenance support technician to assist with vehicle fleet upkeep, including tractors and trailers. Duties include preventive maintenance, repairs, safety inspections, and documentation to ensure a safe, efficient fleet.

Must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, and basic computer skills. Starting pay is competitive hourly with opportunities to learn lifting device use and operate shop equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willing to be educated on use of lifting devices.
• Able to lift ≈110 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to operate vehicles as directed.
• Able to enter/exit driver’s compartment.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Support shop operations including job setup, cleaning and equipment maintenance.
• Prepare electronic and manual records/reports.
• Assist with safety inspections and document work.
• Move parts to/from the job site and install as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Use power and hand tools as directed.
• Follow all laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
