Job summary

TRP Infrastructure Services in Statesville, NC, seeks a dependable, hands-on Shop & Warehouse Technician to support shop, fleet, equipment and field crews. You will keep the shop, yard and loading areas organized, assist mechanics, stage and load gear for shifts, and help with deliveries and inventory.

This active role requires forklift experience, driver's license, safety mindset, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and teamwork to keep daily operations moving.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Forklift experience or ability to operate forklift safely.
• Previous shop, warehouse, construction, automotive, equipment or similar hands-on work experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn from Lead Mechanic and teammates.
• Dependable work ethic with good follow-through and ability to work with limited supervision.
• Good organization and attention to detail, especially when staging equipment and maintaining inventory.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly with mechanics and field crews.
• Safety-first mindset and ability to follow established procedures for equipment handling and shop operations.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform active work throughout shift.
• Successful completion of drug screening, background check and motor vehicle record review is required.

Responsibilities

• Keep shop, warehouse, yard, storage areas and outdoor work areas clean, safe and organized.
• Assist Lead Mechanic with routine shop tasks, maintenance, repairs and tools.
• Prepare trucks and equipment for crews by cleaning and organizing.
• Stage, load and unload equipment and materials on trucks and trailers.
• Operate a forklift to move, load, unload and organize materials and equipment.
• Receive deliveries, verify quantities, inspect for damage and store properly.
• Maintain orderly inventory of materials, parts, tools, equipment and shop supplies.
• Help crews get equipment, tools and materials loaded and ready for projects.
• Assist crews on return by unloading and cleaning equipment.
• Check returned trucks/equipment for cleanliness and report issues.
• Keep tool locations and shop equipment organized and replenish items as needed.
• Perform general facility and yard upkeep and housekeeping to maintain safety.
• Support mechanics and field crews with related duties.
