United Rentals in Oakdale, PA is seeking a Service Writer to manage service and maintenance administrative tasks, including work orders, technician time tracking, warranty recovery, and preventive maintenance. You will also schedule PMs and process service invoices while maintaining equipment files and supporting customer inquiries.

The role requires attention to detail, strong customer service, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 1–2 years experience in a shop or service environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Complete and close work orders with accurate information.
• Report technician time and ensure hours are recorded.
• Submit warranty claims and monitor warranty reporting for closure.
• Run Preventive Maintenance reports and schedule work to maintain fleet currency.
• Handle maintenance issues with urgency and communicate with management on customer concerns.
• Code service invoices correctly within the General Ledger.
