Job summary

Truckway Leasing is seeking a Fleet Service Writer to support our Service Manager at the Wilder KY facility. This role requires strong communication, time management, and shop administration skills to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include supervising technicians, organizing and closing purchase orders, conducting daily lot checks, reviewing and closing work orders, tracking parts, stocking inventory, and prioritizing driver write-ups for repairs.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and time management skills are required.
• Must have some shop administration experience.
• Experience supervising technicians is a plus.

• Stock and restock inventory items as needed.

Truckway Leasing & Rental, an industry leader in tractor/trailer rental and leasing operations and a well-established regional provider of over-the-road equipment is in search of a Fleet Service Writer supporting our Service Manager in the daily operation of our Wilder KY service facility. Strong communication and time management skills are required. This individual must have some “shop administration” skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily workload of a technician workforce to achieve optimum utilization of Organizing and closing purchase orders.
• Daily Lot Check - Check and log all trucks on the lot.
• Reviewing and closing work orders
• Tracking and receiving parts
• Stocking and re-stocking inventory items
• Reviewing and prioritizing driver write-ups for equipment requiring repair
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor
