Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer for our Vehicle Development team in Atlanta, GA. This on-site role focuses on serving as the technical contact for technicians, performing deep-dive troubleshooting, and establishing robust diagnostic procedures to minimize downtime during early operations.

Responsibilities include guiding sensor validation (LIDAR, radar, camera), updating troubleshooting guides, and coordinating with design teams to improve tooling and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required.
• 6+ years in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles focusing on perception sensors.
• Proficient in troubleshooting low/high voltage circuits and applying UDS protocols.
• Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams; understand connectors and pinouts.
• Linux and Python proficiency for fleet-level data processing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for real-time escalations regarding sensor fleet issues.
• Perform in-depth root-cause analysis via log reviews to identify and resolve fleet anomalies.
• Develop and maintain detailed troubleshooting guides for technicians.
• Perform hardware bring-up and validation for new sensor components (LIDAR, radar, camera).
• Design diagnostic procedures to streamline future troubleshooting and data integrity.
• Collaborate with engineering to enhance tooling and detection capabilities.
• Provide countermeasures to prevent recurring technical issues across the fleet.
