Job summary

Kenworth Truck Company in Kirkland, WA, seeks a Fleet Sales Technical Manager to lead technical fleet specifications, collaborate with engineering and production, and support the sales team on fleet projects.

This role requires a BS in engineering, 7+ years in truck/automotive engineering, CREO, Tableau, SQL, and strong communication skills. Candidates should be willing to travel for pilot reviews and customer meetings.

Qualifications

• BS degree required; BSME or BSEE highly preferred. P.E. License a plus.
• 7+ years’ experience with Kenworth or related truck/automotive industry engineering experience.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills and customer service orientation are a must.
• Mechanical and/or electrical experience and aptitude required.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, or other continuous improvement methods a plus.
• Competency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel and SQL proficiency a plus.
• CREO experience required.
• Working knowledge of Tableau and Snowflake preferred.
• Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
• General knowledge of truck or automotive systems/components and how they function/interact.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise on how the truck will be operated for end users and dealers.
• Support the sales team on fleet-specific projects and voice of the customer.
• Assist Fleet Sales PMs on tasks like OARs, engineering projects, and fleet optimization.
• Create chassis models using CREO and solve complex layouts for fleet specs.
• Lead cross-functional work with Kenworth engineering and production plants.
• Support dealers with PremierSpec and Data Book enhancements.
• Travel to fleet customers and dealers for pilot reviews, training, and quarterly business reviews.
