Job summary

Walmart Transportation is seeking an Operations Manager, Fleet Safety, to think strategically and lead a team focused on world-class safety and operations. You will identify risks, conduct driver training, and oversee investigations to ensure compliant, timely actions.

You will enforce OSHA standards, manage HazMat paperwork, forecast staffing needs, monitor safety performance, and collaborate with drivers, suppliers, and associates to sustain safe operations of Walmart Tractors and Trailers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety management, environmental science, traffic safety, transit safety, or related area.
• Or 4 years’ experience in traffic safety within supply chain, retail, or related area.
• 2 years’ experience in continuous improvement methodologies within supply chain or transportation maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks and conduct driver training on safe operation practices.
• Supervise the team to ensure adherence to safety protocols and accountability.
• Handle reporting and investigations after accidents or injuries with thorough analysis.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and stay updated on regulations and reporting criteria.
• Monitor and manage productivity through analysis of business reports and staffing forecasts.
