AlphaGov is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead fleet safety and compliance across our commercial trucking operations. This hands-on role owns the safety function, driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement in a live fleet environment.

The successful candidate will oversee DOT/FMCSA adherence, conduct audits and investigations, and develop driver safety policies while coaching teams to improve outcomes and reduce risk. On-site in Glenwood, IL is expected.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of transportation safety or fleet safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Experience in trucking or logistics environment.
• Hands-on trucking safety experience with independent safety function ownership.
• Proven experience conducting audits, investigations and enforcement.
• Strong communication and leadership to enforce standards.
• Comfortable working on-site in a fleet/operations environment.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee fleet safety programs to ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections and incident investigations including root-cause analysis.
• Develop and enforce driver safety policies and standards.
• Monitor driver logs and performance for regulatory adherence.
• Lead driver safety training, coaching and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Partner with operations to reduce risk and improve fleet safety.
• Track safety metrics and implement improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all certifications and regulatory requirements are met.
