Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Rail Flaw Detection Operations professional to ensure fleet reliability and uptime for custom rail inspection vehicles and onboard systems. You will act as the technical bridge among Operations, Engineering, Aftermarket Services, and customers to resolve equipment issues and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Fleet Management, Railroad Operations, or a related technical field preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in fleet operations, maintenance management, railroad operations, NDT, or related technical environment.
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and coordinating equipment repairs and inspections.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, computer, and network systems.
• Experience analyzing operational or maintenance data to improve equipment reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure DOT regulations compliance, including Hours of Service requirements.
• Maintain fleet uptime, reliability, and operational readiness across rail inspection assets.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and coordinate inspections, repairs, and upgrades.
• Maintain fleet records, registrations, certifications, and compliance documentation.
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
