• $38.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Sunday - Thursday 3rd Shift. 8:30pm - 4:30am

Position Summary:

A Refrigeration Technician diagnoses, overhauls, adjusts, and repairs all series of motor truck and trailer equipment, focusing on refrigeration units for commercial trucks and trailers. Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and complete repairs on reefer equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of truck and trailer reefer units
• Maintain transport refrigeration units using scanners, electronic test equipment, and onboard computers
• Support recruiting efforts by developing university relationships and participating in recruiting activities
• Complete preventive maintenance, component replacement, and service
• Maintain truck and trailer refrigeration units and truck’s APU
• Repair failures, replace parts, test for Freon leaks, soldering, welding, and use of refrigeration equipment
• Install new units on trailers, trucks, and vans
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 4-6 years' experience with tractor-trailer maintenance
• Specialized training in refrigeration component overhaul
• Mechanical experience in heavy diesel equipment and electrical diagnostics
• Proficiency with necessary tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Willingness to travel and work scheduled hours at specific locations
• Excellent communication skills
• Own tools required
