Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Valid state driver’s license; Brake inspection qualification per FMCSA regulations; Vehicle Inspection qualification per FMCSA regulations.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance on trailers/tractors or heavy equipment.
• Ability to follow DOT guidelines and safety procedures consistently.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles).
• Create and process work orders; assess needs, identify parts, and select repair solutions.
• Repair/replace brake components, wheel seals, and tractor-trailer tires per DOT requirements.
• Communicate updates and complete required logs, records, and computer-based documentation.
• Receive fuel drops, monitor safety compliance, and collect/prepare fuel samples and paperwork.
