Job summary

Amazon Robotics' Autonomous Mobility team is seeking an SDE to join the Fleet Management group in North Reading, MA. You will help design and deploy services that allocate tasks to a fleet of autonomous vehicles and track resources across the network.

You will work with a diverse team to drive fault-tolerant, scalable software and influence roadmaps, with opportunities to prototype on live robots and collaborate with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement robotic applications and infrastructure.
• Influence the team's strategy and contribute to long-term vision and roadmap.
• Work with stakeholders across the organization to iterate on design and implementation.
• Maintain high standards by participating in reviews and designing for fault tolerance and operational excellence.
• Prototype and test concepts or features, through simulation and live robotic equipment.
• Work directly with customers and partners to test prototypes and gather feedback.
• Mentor other engineers on the team.
