Job summary

David Roberts Consulting is seeking a Fleet Operations Assistant in Norman, Oklahoma to support the Fleet Manager and shop staff with routine maintenance, detailing of vehicles, and occasional pickups using a truck and trailer. The role is office-based with standard hours and potential on-call flexibility for nights and weekends.

Key duties include inspecting equipment, troubleshooting issues, maintaining a clean workspace, and following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Handyman or in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks needed by Fleet Manager and other office staff.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Detail fleet vehicles as needed.
• Pick up fleet vehicles with a truck hauler or truck and trailer.
• Conduct routine inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in your workspace, vehicles and office space.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager or other leadership.
