Job summary

RIDECARE Inc is seeking a Fleet/Operations Assistant in Norman, OK to support the Fleet Manager and mechanics with maintenance, vehicle detailing, and pickups using a truck and trailer. The role is office-based with standard hours 8am-5pm and requires on-call flexibility evenings/weekends.

Ideal candidates will have handyman experience, practical tools proficiency, strong communication, and a valid driver’s license. Background checks and drug screening are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience as handyman or in similar role.
• Flexible to work in varying environments and hours.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver’s license is required and background check will be conducted.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist Fleet Manager and shop staff with maintenance tasks.
• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Detail and clean fleet vehicles as needed.
• Pickup vehicles with truck hauler or trailer when required.
• Maintain orderly workspace and vehicles; ensure safety compliance.
• Be available for on-call work including nights and weekends.
