Job summary

Passel Farms is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead the safe and compliant operation of a 40-unit tractor-trailer fleet and a 100-vehicle light fleet across reproductive sites, grow-finish barns, feed mills, and support ops in Iowa.

You will own FMCSA/DOT compliance, driver and dispatcher management, fleet maintenance oversight, and safety tech programs, coordinating with Production, Safety/HR, and Procurement to ensure timely livestock and feed movement with strong biosecurity and welfare

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, agribusiness, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of fleet or transportation management experience, including direct DOT/FMCSA regulatory responsibility.
Working knowledge of Hours of Service, Driver Qualification file requirements, and DOT drug & alcohol testing rules.
Experience administering ELD/telematics platforms.
Experience managing a telematics or camera system rollout, including driver adoption and change management.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel across Iowa production sites.

Responsibilities

DOT / FMCSA Regulatory Compliance: Maintain USDOT/MC authority, safety rating, CSA/SMS BASIC scores; audit DQ files; administer HOS policy and ELD compliance; manage drug and alcohol testing; handle IFTA/IRP fuel tax reporting and vehicle registrations; ensure annual inspections and PM compliance; serve as DOT audits liaison.
