Job summary

The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore seeks an experienced Superintendent of Operations to lead the Fleet Management Division. You will drive safe, standardized, data-driven maintenance across city vehicles, ensuring asset readiness, timely preventive and corrective work, and high service quality for all departments and residents.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, management or related field.
Eight (8) years of experience in professional-level administrative operations or technical work.
Valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license or equivalent; driver’s permit may be required.

Responsibilities

Oversee fleet maintenance operations and asset readiness.
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance meets safety and quality standards.
Improve workforce performance, shop productivity, and cost control.
Develop maintenance documentation and data-driven processes.
Lead continuous operational improvement and compliance with policies.
