Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking a Director of Operations to lead fleet-wide operations across multiple sites. You will design centralized standards, manage performance cadences, and drive safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations while integrating new assets and teams.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in power generation ops, 3+ years in plant leadership, and strong analytical and communication skills to influence across functions and deliver scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• 10+ years in power generation operations and maintenance, including multi-site leadership.
• 3+ years as Plant Manager or equivalent with safety, availability, budget, and compliance accountability.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong analytical and business-case skills; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence without authority and lead across functions.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence: safety, regulatory compliance, reliability, availability, efficiency, and cost competitiveness.
• Partner with Asset Management and Finance to translate operational drivers into production economics and capital allocation trade-offs.
• Collaborate on fleet metrics, definitions, dashboards, and root-cause problem-solving routines.
• Lead annual and multi-year planning cycles (O&M budgets, outage plans, capital plans) with disciplined execution.
• Develop and execute vendor/contract strategy to optimize cost and performance.
• Identify and mitigate safety, environmental, reliability, cyber/OT resilience, and supply chain risks; ensure corrective actions are closed.
• Support M&A and growth: due diligence, integration planning, and stand-up of new sites with integration of people, processes, systems, and standards.
