Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking a Director of Operations to stand up and scale centralized, fleet-wide operations across multiple sites. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the role will design uniform operating standards, management systems, and performance cadences, integrate newly acquired assets, and partner with several departments to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years in power generation operations and maintenance.
• Plant leadership experience with direct safety, availability, and budget accountability.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety performance, regulatory compliance, reliability, efficiency, and cost competitiveness.
• Translate operational drivers into production economics and capital allocation trade-offs.
• Develop fleet metrics, dashboards, and standard definitions; establish reporting routines.
• Lead annual and multi-year planning cycles for O&M budgets, outage plans, and capital plans.
• Oversee vendor/contract strategies to optimize cost and performance.
• Support M&A due diligence and integration planning for new sites and teams.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with Environmental, HR, IT/OT, and Engineering to align goals.
• Build and sustain a high-performance culture across a multi-site organization.
