Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. seeks a Director of Operations to design and scale centralized fleet-wide operating standards across multiple sites. You will build management systems, integrate acquisitions, and drive safe, reliable and cost-effective performance with accountable local teams.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will lead cross-functional initiatives, develop talent, align budgets with production economics, and implement a unified fleet operating model capable of absorbing growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in power generation operations and maintenance.
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Plant leadership experience: 3+ years as Plant Manager or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong analytical and business‑case skills; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence without authority.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence: safety, regulatory compliance, reliability/availability, efficiency, and cost competitiveness.
• Lead annual and multi-year planning cycles: O&M budgets, outage plans, capital plans; ensure disciplined execution and variance management.
• Develop and execute vendor/contract strategy to optimize cost and performance.
• Support M&A and growth: due diligence, integration planning, stand-up of new sites.
• Enable multi-technology execution across the fleet; adapt operating standards for new technologies.
• Build and sustain a high-performance culture; develop Plant Managers and succession plans.
