Job summary

TOTE Resources is seeking a Fleet Projects Engineer in Tacoma, WA, to lead capital projects across the fleet, delivering vessel modifications, improvements, and regulatory initiatives. You will coordinate with Port Engineers, crews, shipyards, and vendors to ensure projects meet goals for reliability, safety, and efficiency.

The role requires a marine engineering degree, at least five years in related roles, and strong project management and technical skills, with a focus on lifecycle asset

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of five years of marine engineering, ship repair, vessel technical management, or project management experience.
  • Experience managing engineering projects, vessel modifications, maintenance programs, or capital improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead fleet-wide capital improvement projects from concept through commissioning and closeout.
  • Develop project scopes, technical specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and bid packages in collaboration with Port Engineers, vessel personnel, and key stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets and coordinate contractors, shipyards, consultants, OEMs, vessel crews, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Prepare capital expenditure requests, business justifications, and project performance reports.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related discipline
