Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, reliable vehicle operation through preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs at our Westbrook facility. You will perform scheduled inspections, diagnose vehicle systems, and document work while supporting driver-reported issues.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training.
• 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license; ASE certs preferred.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Conduct annual inspections in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, brake, and HVAC systems.
• Address driver-reported issues promptly and document all work performed.
• Utilize diagnostic software and electrical testing tools, perform welding and electrical repairs as needed.

Role: Fleet Maintenance Technician responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective vehicle operation through preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.

Key Duties

• Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on various fleet vehicles to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct annual inspections in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, brake, and HVAC systems.
• Address driver-reported issues promptly and document all work performed.
• Utilize diagnostic software and electrical testing tools, perform welding and electrical repairs as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training, high school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience or equivalent education.
• Valid driver’s license, ASE certifications preferred.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software, electrical systems, and basic welding skills.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations.

Work Environment: Occasional exposure to outdoor elements, mechanical hazards, confined spaces, and airborne particles; requires physical activity such as climbing, bending, and lifting. Flexibility for non-traditional hours and travel may be needed.
