Job summary

Vestis Corporation is hiring a Fleet Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repair on our delivery fleet. The role ensures DOT compliance and uses the AVMS system to track shop duties. It requires maintaining safety and quality standards while supporting cost control and inventory management.

The position focuses on gas and diesel engines, brakes, electrical systems, and lift gates, with regular inspections and documentation. Day shift, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle standards.
• Preventive maintenance experience and inventory control.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Team-oriented with schedule flexibility for days/evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles to meet standards.
• Use AVMS fleet system to track shop operations.
• Assist in cost control through purchasing and inventory.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and OSHA/DOT compliance.
• Repair and maintain engines, brakes, electrical, suspension, and lift gates.
• Inspect vehicles and document repairs per guidelines.
• Support more extensive repairs as needed.
• Follow company policies and perform other duties as required.
