Job summary

Vestis Corporation in Stafford, TX is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on our delivery fleet, ensuring DOT and OSHA standards are met. You will report to the Lead Mechanic and handle vehicle inspections and part replacements.

Responsibilities include maintaining vehicles, using AVMS for shop duties, and assisting with cost control and inventory. A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate degree in Automotive Technology is preferred, with 2+ years

Qualifications

Two years or more of fleet vehicle repair experience.
High School Diploma or GED; an Associate degree in Automotive Technology is preferred.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle maintenance standards.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain fleet vehicles with preventive maintenance to meet 100% compliance.
Use AVMS fleet management system to track shop duties.
Assist with cost control through purchasing and inventory management.
Ensure OSHA and DOT safety standards are followed.
Repair and maintain engines, brakes, electrical systems, suspension, and lift gates.
Document vehicle repairs and inspections per company guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the business.
