Job summary

The Mechanic Fleet position at Cemex in Foley, AL will maintain and repair a variety of mobile equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and maximize truck and mixer availability to support daily operations.

You will diagnose electrical and hydraulic systems, service brakes, and coordinate with location supervisors to schedule work. Strong mechanical skills and own tools are required; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience required.
• Be able to read, write, and speak English.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical problems and perform mechanical repairs on various equipment (tires, ready-mix concrete trucks, heavy construction equipment).
• Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance (lubrication, oil changes, failure analysis).
• Perform brake inspections/adjustments on commercial vehicles per DOT requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, electronics, and other components of concrete mixer trucks.
• Create work orders with clear, accurate information for repairs.
• Coordinate with location supervisor and review Pre-Trip inspections to prioritize work.
