Job Title: Fleet Mechanic

Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.).

Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting at $33.00 – $45.00/hour depending on experience

Schedule:

Sunday - Thursday Nights, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM

Responsibilities:

1. Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel equipment.
2. Complete documentation of repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability.
3. Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport as needed.
4. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
5. Maintain inventory and proper recordkeeping.
6. Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.
7. Willingness to assume increased responsibilities and certifications.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Reefer experience preferred.
• Good communication skills in English for attending training, safety coaching, and reading manuals.
• Teamwork and effective communication with co-workers and drivers.
• Ability to manage multiple functions in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability to organizational and operational changes.
• Computer proficiency.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
