Job summary

Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking a Fleet Mechanic III for the Orange, CA area. This role performs scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on a range of vehicles, including diesel trucks, electrics, and forklifts.

You will use Cummins/Navistar diagnostic software, document vehicle records, and mentor junior mechanics. We require at least 1 year of fleet mechanic experience and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 3 years of fleet experience and DOT inspections preferred.
• Ability to use Cummins and Navistar diagnostic software.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work with various vehicle types.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on fleet vehicles.
• Disassemble and overhaul motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends and electrical systems.
• Complete vehicle records and manage parts inventory.
• Mentor class I & II mechanics.

Fleet Mechanic III - Orange, CA

About the Role

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, perform DOT inspections (3 years’ experience) and necessary repairs to automobiles, trucks (light and heavy, trailers, vans and forklifts.
• Able to use Cummins, Navistar etc. diagnostic software
• Disassembles and overhauls motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends and electrical systems.
• Complete all necessary documents, including vehicle records.
• Manage ordering and inventory of parts.
• Will act as a mentor to the class I & II mechanics.

Shift and Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 9:30am - 6:00pm or when the work is completed
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
• 1 year or more of mechanic experience on a fleet
• Must be able to work on all types of vehicles (diesel trucks, electric and propane forklift, etc...)
• Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
• Able to supply your own set of tools to perform the job
• Willing and able to acquire the necessary certifications and licenses needed for the position within the first year of employment to include: ASE Heavy and Medium duty certification, DOT Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A), DOT brake and annual inspection certification, and A/C certification
