Job summary

Builders in Kearney, NE is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet and equipment across Nebraska. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and reliability for delivery operations.

Work hours are 7am-4pm, Monday–Friday with overtime as needed. A High School diploma is required, plus 2–5 years of experience and a CDL is preferred within one year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; automotive tech degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of maintenance/repair experience on heavy trucks and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; CDL preferred within one year.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, repair and inspect fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance and brake/transmission work.
• Follow DOT requirements and safety policies; keep accurate records.
• Coordinate with managers; order parts and perform roadside repairs.
