Builders-Warehouse in Kearney, NE is seeking a full-time Fleet Mechanic to service our Nebraska market (Kearney and Grand Island). Work hours are 7am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

The role involves maintenance, repair and diagnostics of heavy trucks, trailers and equipment, plus record-keeping and coordinating with division managers to prioritise work. Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED; an Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology or related

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's degree in Automotive Technology or related experience preferred.
• 2–5 years of mechanic experience with heavy trucks and diesel engines preferred.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Must furnish own tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair fleet vehicles including trucks, trailers and equipment.
• Perform diagnostics and timely repairs using standard instruments.
• Track preventive maintenance and inspections per manuals and DOT.
• Keep records of maintenance, requisitions and warranty work.
• Coordinate with managers to prioritize work; perform road tests after repairs.
