Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• Extensive work experience in heavy duty equipment such as tractors, loaders and large gasoline and diesel trucks, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid NC Driver's license

Responsibilities

• Inspects, services, and repairs heavy trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic systems on city vehicles.
• Repair and diagnostics using fleet maintenance software and diagnostics tools.
• Perform tire services including flat tire repairs and replacements.
• Interpret manuals and diagrams to guide repairs and ensure safety.
