The Citrus County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform skilled mechanical work on patrol cars, specialty units, and fleet equipment. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, perform routine maintenance, and install emergency equipment.

The role includes record-keeping, parts coordination, and safety compliance. The position requires a high school diploma or GED with three years of automotive or fleet maintenance experience; ASE

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED and three years of automotive or fleet maintenance experience.
• ASE certifications preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Vocational or technical training is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an automotive shop.
• Hazardous materials handling and shop safety awareness.

Mansioni

• Diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on law enforcement vehicles.
• Performs routine maintenance including oil changes, brake service, tires, and fluid checks.
• Installs and maintains emergency equipment such as lights, sirens, radios, and cages.
• Maintains maintenance records and updates fleet management software.
• Coordinates parts ordering and vendor communications.
• Performs vehicle inspections and road tests to ensure safety.
• Assists with vehicle upfitting and decommissioning as needed.
• Operates vehicles for maintenance tasks and transports vehicles to vendors.
• Adheres to safety protocols and keeps the shop organized.
• All CCSO staff may be required to work hours during activations.
