Synergen seeks an experienced Mechanic in Bossier City, LA to maintain and repair our fleet and equipment. You will perform in-shop and field maintenance, identify faults with diagnostics, and safely install components, with a focus on reliability and uptime.

The role requires handling heavy parts, using PPE, and collaborating with a skilled team. We offer health, dental, vision, life, disability coverage, 401(k), and paid time off.

Responsabilités

• Performs service, maintenance, repair and overhaul per manufacturers’ recommendations.
• Repairs equipment in shop or field locations to minimize downtime.
• Replaces components and conducts variable tests to verify operation after repair.
• Uses diagnostic procedures and test equipment to identify faults.
• Performs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and electronic analyses.
• Operates shop equipment including cranes, welders, compressors and grinders.
• Lifts and installs heavy parts using PPE and basic tooling.
• Coordinates with team to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Assists other mechanics as needed.

We are actively seeking a Mechanic in Bossier City, Louisiana that would be responsible for overall maintenance of the company fleet and equipment assets.

Essential Functions of the position are described below:

• Performs service, maintenance, repair and overhaul in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations
• Performs equipment repairs in response to maintenance requests, in shop or in field locations
• Repairs equipment, removing/replacing components
• Uses diagnostic procedures and test equipment to identify and correct equipment faults
• Performs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and electronic analyses and diagnoses
• Operates shop equipment including cranes, welders, compressors, presses, grinders, heavy hand tools, and tire servicing equipment
• Lifts, moves and/or installs heavy parts and assemblies safely, using basic tooling and PPE
• Assists other mechanics and members of the team as required

A qualified applicant must posses the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Technical School certification preferred
• Experience with 3/4 ton up to 18-wheelers, as well as excavators, dozers, etc. preferred, not required
• Able to obtain a Chauffeur's License or Class "C" Commercial Drivers License (CDL) within 90 days of employment
• Able to pass and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
• Knowledge and proper use of special tools / equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory
• Must know theory and principles of engine operations and accessories and components
• Demonstrated ability to follow through on instruction, work with minimal supervision, use required computer/telephone applications
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Also includes occasionally working outdoors in elements/weather.

Work Schedule

• 5 days per week, Monday - Friday
• 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
• Rotating weekends on-call
