Job summary

Linetec Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanic I to join our team in Alexandria, LA. You will perform welding tasks, diagnose repairs, and service a variety of trucks and equipment in a dynamic outdoor environment.

Responsibilities include major/minor repairs, maintaining repair logs, and participating in safety training. CDL strongly preferred or obtainable within 60 days. Travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet requirements for Mechanic level I.
• CDL strongly preferred or able to obtain CDL permit within 60 days.
• Skilled in welding, vehicle and small equipment repair.
• Ability to follow through on tasks and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic welding tasks.
• Repair, overhaul and replace major truck and automobile components.
• Communicate with team about repairs, timelines and costs.
• Service equipment when returned from a job site.
• Make major and minor repairs to equipment.
• Maintain log books of repairs.
• Complete required company training, including safety training.
• Perform Administrative and Lineman duties as required.
