Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Mechanic at our Dubois, PA location. The role requires 1–2 years of mechanic experience, a PA Class A CDL with endorsements, and a PA State Inspection License. You will inspect, repair and maintain diverse equipment under supervision and perform related clerical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of previous mechanic experience.
• Must reside within 40-minute travel time of the service location.
• Must possess a Pennsylvania Class A CDL license with endorsements.
• Must possess a Pennsylvania State Inspection License (Class 4 or Class 7).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, overhaul and maintain transportation and construction equipment.
• Pack pump bearings, tighten bolts, relining brakes and adjust starters/generators.
• Use diagnostic tools and software for vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Prepare time sheets, records, PO’s and related clerical work as required.
• Refuel, lubricate, check fuel consumption and tire pressures daily.
