Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a skilled mechanic for our Meadville, PA location. Under supervision, you will perform maintenance and repairs on transportation and construction equipment, including brakes, transmissions, and engines.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, PA Class A CDL with endorsements, and PA State Inspection License (4 or 7). 1–2 years related experience and pre-employment screenings are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• PA CDL license with endorsements.
• PA State Inspection License Class 4 or 7.
• 1–2 years of mechanic experience.
• Pre-employment physical and substance screenings.
• Background check including PA DMV driving record.

Responsibilities

• Pack bearings, tighten bolts, reline brakes, and perform routine repairs.
• Inspect and maintain transportation and construction equipment under supervision.
• Prepare time sheets, records, purchase orders, fuel and oil logs.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to diagnose vehicle issues.
• Assist units along the road and perform related duties.
