EMR Group is seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our maintenance team in Dallas or Houston, TX. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, and repair electrical and hydraulic systems to keep our fleet road-ready.

At least 2 years of hands-on experience in fleet maintenance is required; air brake line certification is preferred. This role offers a fast-paced shop environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mechanic experience in fleet maintenance or trailer repair.
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical wiring and trailer lighting systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Experience with diesel equipment and general mechanical maintenance.
• Air brake line certification is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem solving and time management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventative maintenance and general mechanical repairs on transportation equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including trailer wiring and lights.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems.
• Perform trailer repairs and quick-turn maintenance, including air brake line repairs.
• Inspect and test equipment to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs promptly.
• Disassemble, repair, install, and reassemble mechanical components.
• Fuel, lubricate, and maintain equipment as needed.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and compliance requirements.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Communicate equipment conditions and supply needs to Fleet Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE, lockout/tagout, and confined space.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
