EMR USA Metal Recycling is seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our maintenance team in Dallas or Houston, Texas. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing transportation equipment to keep the fleet road-ready and compliant with safety standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with preventative maintenance, trailer repairs, electrical wiring, hydraulic systems, and general mechanical repairs.

Competenze

• Minimum of 2 years of mechanic experience in fleet maintenance or trailer repair.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of electrical wiring and trailer lighting.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Experience with diesel equipment and general mechanical maintenance.
• Air brake line certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Perform preventative maintenance and general mechanical repairs on transportation equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including trailer wiring, lights, and related components.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems.
• Perform trailer repairs and quick-turn maintenance jobs, including air brake line repairs.
• Inspect and test equipment to identify mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Disassemble, repair, install, and reassemble mechanical components and equipment.
• Fuel, lubricate, and maintain equipment as needed.
• Ensure all maintenance and repair work meets company safety standards and applicable compliance requirements.
• Maintain assigned company tools and equipment.
• Communicate equipment conditions, repair needs, and supply requirements to the Fleet Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE use, lockout/tagout, and confined space requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
