Job summary
Utility Trailer of Texas, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanic to lead complex diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of trucks, tractors, trailers, and related equipment. The role includes mentoring junior mechanics and ensuring safe, compliant work practices in a fast-paced shop environment.
You will read schematics, interpret manuals, operate fleet maintenance systems, and manage parts and cost estimates. A CDL with hazmat, DOT cert, and ASE certification are highly preferred alongside extensive
Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years of fleet maintenance experience.
- DOT certifiable and CDL with hazmat within 12 months.
- CMV Air Brake Certified for drum and disc brakes.
- ASE Certification (T2-T9) preferred.
- Experience reading schematics and shop manuals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspect the work of subordinates; mentor mechanics.
- Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on vehicles.
- Read schematics and interpret manuals; maintain safety standards.
- Estimate time, parts, and complete paperwork in maintenance software.
- Operate forklift and maintain shop cleanliness.
