Nextlink Internet is seeking a Fleet Mechanic in Texas to maintain and repair company vehicles, ensuring safe, compliant operation. This full-time, on-site role requires diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine service, and documenting repairs in a warehouse setting with some travel and outdoor exposure.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of mechanical experience, valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a DOT physical.

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a valid DOT medical examiner’s certificate (company-paid).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake services and inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical issues on light and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records for repairs, inspections and parts used.
• Inspect vehicles to identify safety issues, defects or needed repairs.
• Oversee outfitting of vehicles with safety and emergency equipment.
• Transport company vehicles between locations, repair facilities, or job sites as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with management and the fleet department regarding vehicle status and needed repairs.
