Nextlink is seeking a Fleet Mechanic in Texas to perform maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on company vehicles and equipment. You will help ensure safe, compliant operations and minimize downtime across multiple sites.
The role requires a minimum of 2 years in mechanical work, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a DOT medical certification. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits and opportunities for career growth.
We are a Hudson Oaks, Texas-based Internet Service Provider (ISP) delivering High Speed Internet and Voice Services throughout multiple states to residential, business, K-12 Education and government customers. The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and diagnostics on company vehicles and equipment to ensure they operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and DOT regulations. This role plays a key part in minimizing downtime and keeping the fleet in optimal condition.

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant vocational training preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical work, automotive logistics, or related field.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Fleet Exempt
Springtown, TX Primarily warehouse-based with periodic exposure to outdoor elements such as heat, cold, and precipitation. Moderate noise level.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Required to sit, stand, and move about warehouse. Must be able to communicate via email and telephone.
Full-time Monday through Friday (40 hours/week) Nights & weekends as needed.
0-20% travel required.
