Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a hands-on Fleet Mechanic in Fort Myers, FL to keep our mixer trucks and heavy equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and work with the operations team to minimize downtime and keep deliveries on schedule.

Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply with on-the-job training available; prior diesel/equipment experience is a plus. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
• CDL is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes and filter changes.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on mixer trucks and heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Rebuild or replace major components such as engines, starters, and transmissions.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance, minimizing downtime.
• Ensure safety policies are followed in workshop and on sites.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs in company systems.
• Keep up-to-date with diesel engine technology and repair techniques.
