Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking Fleet Mechanics to maintain our mixer trucks and heavy equipment. You will perform maintenance, diagnose problems, and repair diesel engines to keep our fleet safe and productive.

Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; on-the-job training is provided. A high school diploma is required, with CDL preferred. Safety, teamwork, and reliability are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Willingness to learn new repair techniques and use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy vehicles.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify problems and plan repairs.
• Rebuild or replace major components such as engines, starters, and transmissions.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain safety standards and accurate maintenance records.
• Stay updated on diesel engine technology through ongoing learning.
