Job summary
Prudential Overall Supply is seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency. The role requires strong diagnostic skills and experience with diesel engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as DOT compliance.
Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections, safety records, and communicating repair status to management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial fleet vehicles.
- Experience as Fleet Mechanic, Automotive/Diesel/Truck/Trailer Mechanic preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle compliance requirements.
- Experience with diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems preferred.
- Must have own tools and be able to work independently.
- Military maintenance experience valued; bilingual EN/ES a plus.

- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair trucks and fleet equipment to minimize downtime.
- Ensure vehicles meet DOT and company compliance.
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain maintenance records.
- Communicate status and recommendations to management.
- Maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant shop; promote safe work practices.
- Assist with emergency repairs and travel as needed.
