Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. is seeking a Fleet Mechanic in Clearwater, FL to maintain, repair, and diagnose our vehicle and equipment fleet. You’ll ensure safety and efficiency, following company and regulatory standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and propose cost-effective repair plans while keeping a clean, organized workspace and supporting a safety-first culture. Our benefits include weekly pay, PTO, 401(k) with match, education reimbursement, and more to help

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver's license with clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year as a mechanic, preferably on fleet or commercial equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems; diagnostic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Determine repair or maintenance plans for vehicles and equipment based on cost/benefit analysis.
• Conduct diagnostics to troubleshoot failures in vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect and provide strategic recommendations for proactive maintenance.
• Follow work procedures for repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and fueled at all times.
• Operate and test vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• Other duties as assigned
