Job summary

Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to repair and maintain automobiles, trucks, heavy equipment, and other district vehicles. You will document work orders, labor hours, parts, and vehicle issues using the CMMS and perform field calls as needed.

Experience in diagnosing engine, drivability, electrical, and hydraulic systems is required, along with a valid driver’s license and CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Automotive trade school certificate; 2 years experience may substitute.
• 5 years in maintaining and repairing automotive/diesel equipment in fleet/shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose engine, drivability, electrical, and hydraulic issues; perform light bodywork and welding as needed.
• Use CMMS to document work orders, parts, labor hours and vehicle issues.
