Job summary

Esi Electrical Contractors, Inc. is seeking a fleet mechanic for the Moraine, OH area. You will inspect, service, and repair company and customer-owned equipment with minimal supervision to ensure rental readiness.

The role emphasizes maintenance of hydraulic, electrical, and structural systems, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and collaboration with team members. On-site work with company standards and PPE requirements applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years’ maintenance/repair experience or diesel technology education is required.
• Demonstrates ability to perform duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs fleet equipment used in the powerline industry.
• Performs service and repairs on hydraulics, trailer wiring, electronics, and structural components to ensure rental readiness.
• Inspects pulling rope and cable for damage and performs splices as instructed to maintain integrity.
• Identifies mechanical problems visually and with computer diagnostic systems.
• Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintains records of time, materials, equipment condition, and repairs.
• Tracks information in computer software to ensure record accuracy.
• Participates in safety training and keeps up with hazardous material training requirements.
• Adheres to established safety procedures and works to maintain positive relationships with staff, authorities and customers.
